What to expect in a session......

Your Reflexology Treatment will be created with a unique approach specifically designed for you.  Your treatment will begin with a brief consultation where we will discuss any health issues or concerns you may have.  You will have the opportunity to ask questions.  The treatment will last approximately 45-50 minutes.

We will start with soaking your feet in a warm foot bath with aromatic oils and/or salts.  The treatment will continue in a quiet, comfortable, relaxing room.  You may become relaxed enough that you will fall asleep during treatment.

Integrative Foot Reflexology

What is Integrative Foot Reflexology?

Integrative Foot Reflexology is holistic therapy which is based on applying degrees of pressure to the feet.

The pressure applied to different areas of the feet which correspond to a specific part of the body.  The idea behind reflexology is that when pressure is applied to a specific point on the feet, a response occurs in the corresponding part of the body.  This change is due to either a response in the energy pathways of the body or by the treatment encouraging relaxation in the nervous system.

The pressure applied during the reflexology treatment uses finger and thumb techniques which are different then in a general massage.  reflexology is not ticklish because of the type of pressure applied.

The body is designed to heal itself whether it's fighting off a cold, repairing a broken bone or strengthening the immune system.  The systems  and organs in the body work together continuously to heal and repaid and if one is interrupted the rest of the body will not function to its full potential.

Pregnancy

Our trained Reflexologist knows where they may work on pregnant women and what points to avoid.  Pregnant women often hear that they cannot receive a foot massage or reflexology because it could put them into early labor.  The points for hips, spine sinuses, digestion all bring welcomed relief from common pregnancy induced discomforts.

Integrative Reflexology helps to restore imbalances in the body and encourages healing.  Reflexology can be used by anyone young or old.
